TOYOTA is in a very difficult environment, with global production stagnation due to a continuing chip shortage and soaring material prices.

In 2022, the company became the world leader in new vehicle sales for the third consecutive year, but in its November earnings announcement, it revised downward its full-year global production plan.

At the earnings conference, they stated “The chip shortage has passed its worst period”.

I hope the production stagnation will be solved in near future.

Although TOYOTA is also facing a challenging environment with global inflation concerns and EV competition, this company supports the entire Japanese automotive industry, and I look forward to its future success.
